I realize that in the midst of blogging sessions of my clients I have a few that only talk about things that mean something to me. I’ve gone back and forth thinking that I should probably split them into two different blogging sites. You know, not let my personal opinions affect my business.

It really got my thinking…..I didn’t even have an About Me section!!! Why on earth would someone want to use me to capture their wedding? or family pictures? or engagement? or newborn? if they don’t even know who I am or what I’m about. I wouldn’t just reach out to someone who had a super generic “smile and nod” type of about me. The ones that are exactly what they think you want to hear. The fact of the matter is that WHO I am influences WHAT I do. I came into this business not fully realizing how judgemental and mean some people could be, constantly questioning if you’re just trying to jump on the bandwagon to make a quick buck. And really trying to belittle other peoples ambitions.
It’s taken over a year to gain the courage to start publishing this blog. And it’s taken over a year to get to a point in my life where I’m confident in who I am in what I do, and where I’m heading in this. I’m confident in knowing that God doesn’t put passions in your heart for you to ignore them because you fear what other people will say about you.
So my decision is that I will keep my photography blog combined with my personal opinions. Because I am this business!
